New Garden Roses for Weddings

Long Lasting
Garden Rose Varieties for Weddings!
New Garden Roses for Weddings!
Hello,
Thank you for your subscription to our newsletter!
As we are in the full swing of the Wedding Season I thought it would be timely to create awareness of some new varieties being cut at Alexandra Farms.
We are very excited about the launch of several new Garden Rose Varieties for this wedding season! In most cases it takes 3 to 4 years to develop a new variety and then to another year to build up the bud wood for launching it commercially to the market.
In the pages below you will find information on our most successful new launches.
We are also taking advantage of this newsletter to ask you to save the date of our Proflora brunch on Thursday October 7th to be held at our newest David Austin farm.
Sincerely,
Joey Azout
President

Purity, a new David Austin English Garden Rose

Purity is a new arrival in our cut rose range and, as the name suggests, there's nothing contrived about her natural and delicate personality. More loose ruffle than tight rosette, her pretty blooms have a gentle and informal look.
Each flower is creamy-white, its central petals lightly dusted with tones of pale apricot and peach.
Fragrance strength: Strong
Fragrance character: Fresh and distinctive Turkish delight and rose water

Capability, a new dark pink David Austin English Garden Rose is launched

Capability is another David Austin English Garden Rose launched this year.
With her hot-pink color and perfectly formed blooms, Capability is a characterful and bold new addition to our collection. Opening right from their centers, her buds bloom into flawless and strong rosettes in an even and intense shade of fuchsia. Capability's strength of personality makes her a natural leading lady. She can lead the line alongside flowers of softer shades of pink or inject her special radiance into combinations featuring softer lilac and heather tones.
Fragrance strength: Very strong
Fragrance character: One of our favorite scents - a beautiful rose perfume with touches of citrus notes.

Princess Aiko (Beloved)

Princess Aiko _Beloved_

Princess Aiko is a lovely peach garden rose bred in Japan. She has a peony shape, great vase life and a brilliant peach color that is sure to liven up any bridal bouquet.
The intense peach color of the inside petals is surrounded by external petals that have a pink blush to them creating a colorful frame around the center giving the flower great color contrasts.
This rose was bred by a breeder based in the mountains of Japan for an emperors affair.

Mayra's Bridal Pink

From the south of France, Cordoba specif-
ically, comes a lovely Spanish Garden Rose called Mayra's Bridal Pink. This rose is a light pink color, but the center seems to be surrounded by a white frame. The light pink is pure and even, and it is surrounded by a lighter, almost white border. She is a dainty, beautiful rose that speaks of Romance.
Starting off rather small, Mayra's Bridal Pink opens up fully. Her petals are hardy and she has a 10 day vase life. She works great in an "I Love you" everyday arrangement and in a romantic Bridal Bouquet.

Proflora Trade Show

Alexandra Farms will have a booth at the upcoming Proflora Flower Trade Show to be held in Bogota in October. As a part of the festivities, we will be entertaining at our David Austin farm for the first time on Thursday Oct 5th. If you are planning to attend, please accept our invitation to visit. We will have lots of music and food - and the worlds largest cut garden rose exhibit!
